Hello, I have a dataset where most of the data is scored for the presence of an individual with a “1”, and when when there are no individuals present, the cell in Excel remains empty. In some cases, the minority of cases, some individuals have been assigned a “2” because they have more relevance than others.
Anyway, the cells in my dataset either have nothing or a 1 or a 2. Those are the only options.
Unfortunately, PATN is failing to run an analysis of my data, and I suspect that is because I don’t have enough categories in my scoring; e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 + categories.
Any insights on what is going on and whether I need to re-score my data or whether there is an option amongst the PATN analysis options that would suit my data?
    Thanks!

Ah, the solution was simple. Absences were occurring as null values in the cells in my matrix and they simply had to be replaced with 0s.
